Char Siu Chicken Thighs
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon allspice
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
2 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoon ketchup
2 teaspoons sesame oil
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Method
Add all the ingredients but the chicken to a large bowl and stir well. This is your marinade
Remove 2 tablespoons of the marinade for later.
Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and completely coat with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
Using a cast iron pan, or a charcoal grill, cook the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Use the marinade you removed to baste the chicken while cooking
