Cheeseburger soup is a creamy soup that tastes like a cheeseburger. It's made with ground beef, onions, garlic, vegetables, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and cheddar cheese. It's a comforting and satisfying soup for cheeseburger lovers

Cheeseburger Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of ground beef

  • 2 Tablespoon cooking oil

  • 1 large onion

  • 2 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup flour

  • 4 teaspoons dry mustard

  • 1 package of sliced American Cheese

  • 1 Tablespoon chicken base

  • ½ gallon water

Method

  1. Add the oil to a large pot on medium-high heat, add the ground beef, and begin to brown. Dice the onion and add to the browning meat; continue to brown the meat until thoroughly cooked.

  2. Turn the heat to medium and stir in flour to form a roux.

  3. Cook roux on medium heat for 5 minutes while continuing to stir. Add water and cook another five minutes while continuing to mix with a whip.

  4. As the soup begins to thicken, add Worcestershire, mustard, and chicken base. Continue to stir and add the American cheese, a couple of slices at a time, until well dissolved and combined into the soup.

  5. Simmer and continue to stir for 10 minutes before serving.
