Hooters Daytona Wing Sauce
Ingredients
3/4 cup of BBQ sauce
2 chipotles chilies in adobo sauce
1/4 cup of hot sauce
1/4 cup of honey
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
Method
Combine the BBQ sauce, chipotle peppers, hot sauce, honey, dark brown sugar, roasted garlic powder, and soy sauce in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth
Add the mixture to a small saucepan over medium heat.
Bring the mixture to a low simmer. Stir occasionally to ensure the sugar and honey are fully dissolved.
Reduce the heat to low Once the mixture has reached a simmer. Add in the crushed red pepper and stir
Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 15-20, stirring occasionally
After the sauce has thickened to the desired consistency, remove it from the heat to cool
Once cooled, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
