Schug Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4-jalapeno peppers

  • 1 Tablespoon minced fresh garlic

  • ½ cup fresh parsley

  • ½ cup fresh cilantro

  • 1 Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds

  • ½ cup olive oil

Method

  1. De-seed the jalapenos if you wish to

  2. Add half the olive oil into a food processor or blender, along with the jalapeno peppers, and pulse a few times to break down the peppers.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients and olive oil and continue to pulse to emulsify the mixture.  The result should be a chunky sauce with pieces of herbs in it.
